Acquanetta Warren: Warren earns another endorsement: Assemblyman and former Riverside County Republican Party Chairman Kevin Jeffries

UPLAND – Today, Councilwoman Acquanetta Warren received yet another big endorsement – former Riverside County Republican Party Chair and now Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries.

“I’m really honored that so many conservative and Republican leaders have decided to support me,” said Warren, a former Vice Chair of the California Republican Party who is serving her third term on the Fontana.

Acquanetta Warren has raised more money than any other candidate and has built an impressive list of local endorsements, including:

  • Upland Mayor John “JP” Pomierski
  • Former Rancho Cucamonga Mayor Bill Alexander
  • Highland Mayor Penny Lilburn
  • Colton Mayor Kelly Chastain
  • Fontana Councilmembers John Roberts and Janice Rutherford

iePolitics: Well Mark Kirk, since you delete my text messages without reading them . . .

You force me to communicate with you publicly.  I know you feel all of us, not just me, but every one of us who was a victim of Mark Uffer and Andrew Lamberto, deserve what we have received for standing up for ourselves against dishonest, vindictive administrators.  All any of us want out of those who have the power to make things right is for you to take corrective action and do just that, make things right.

But you are so worried about getting Gary Ovitt re-elected that you have shirked your responsibility to employees and constituents alike.  The very people that voted Gary into office are rebelling.  Voters everywhere are sick and tired of incumbents who only care about themselves with little concern for their constituents.  Gary may very well be a man of integrity but he has let the voters of this county down. iePolitics: Deaths at Havasu Lake

Editor:  I have been told that in the years since the rave described below another 24 individuals have lost their lives and these deaths continue to be covered up.  I have not been able to confirm much of anything except that the tribe is apparently terrified of this blog and of having the Federal Bureau of Investigation becoming involved again.  Anyway, here is a story written by George Watson when he was a reporter with the Press Enterprise.  He actually camped out up there and witnessed the rave first hand.

3 dead after rave in Mojave Desert
LAKE HAVASU: One overdose, two wrecks and a turnout of more than 20,000 confirm authorities’ greatest fears.

BY GEORGE WATSON
THE PRESS-ENTERPRISE
LAKE HAVASU

They had come to the Chemehuevi Indian Reservation for a memorable dance in an ancient territory. But when tens of thousands of people left the 14-hour overnight rave Sunday, the most lasting memory was of the casualties left behind.

One person died from what was believed to be an overdose during the rave billed as “Nocturnal Wonderland” in the middle of the Mojave Desert.

Two other victims, neither from the rave, were killed in separate accidents involving people who authorities said had been at the rave that began the night before. Continue reading

Tim Donnelly: Guess your voice doesn’t count in Pelosi’s Congress…

The more we learn about the proposed Health (ObamaCare) Bill, the less the people want it! And what is Pelosi’s take? Too bad, you already approved it. The Supreme Court interpreted the Constitution to say that the “precise text of the bill” must be subject to a vote. Let that sink in for a minute. The more we know about it, the less we like it. But they are telling us our input is not welcome. The people be damned, the Supreme Court be damned, the Constitution be damned. That’s Nancy Pelosi’s take! Your voice is not welcome….she is not even pretending to govern at your consent. Continue reading

iePolitics: Havasu Lake and San Manuel

I have been involved with too many other things lately to pursue either of these issues, but since both bands of Indians contribute heavily to the political process in San Bernardino County it is time to return to the subject.

One of the accusations I hear frequently is about the number of deaths on these reservations that are overlooked or covered up.  No wonder considering the amount of gifts and contributions made to county officials, including the District Attorney. Continue reading

iePolitics: The Sheriff’s Private Stock

Don’t worry Rod, I’m waiting to write about it in detail.  Actually, since so many of your staff members read the blog and I know the title will catch their eye, I thought I’d use it for now.  What I’m really looking for is some intel regarding fraud and corruption going on in the department right now.

Is it true that Sergeant Beavers retired?  If so, has he been criminally charged yet?

Is it true that a complaint has been filed with the District Attorney’s office regarding Captain Grey?  If so, when did that happen?  And what has happened to all of those who received falsified POST certificates?  Seems to me this is a real scandal that should involved criminal charges for all who participated.  Huh Rod? iePolitics: For those who accuse me of being too melodramatic regarding Mike Ramos

Some of you have accused me of melodramatics or of simply writing what I write to support Jim Erwin and Bill Postmus.  What some of you don’t realize is that long before I ever got to know either one of them, I, like so many others, knew of San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos as “being the most corrupt politician” in San Bernardino County.

Mike didn’t wake up in the middle of the night in 2008 and decide, “tomorrow I’m going to begin a life of corruption.”  Mike has ALWAYS been corrupt. Continue reading

iePolitics: So who will be the next District Attorney?

Well once again I will have those who will suggest I need to take my meds but they usually consist of Adam Aleman and Ramos’ family, friends, and hatchet men.  So, since crooks and liars do little to persuade me, here is my prediction as to the next District Attorney.

The truth is I’m not sure.  What I do know is that the next District Attorney to be sworn into office will not be elected by the voters of the county of San Bernardino but rather appointed by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors to finish out current District Attorney Mike Ramos’ term of office. InlandPolitics: Developer charges may have been retaliation

Posted March 17, 2010 at 9:24 am

Information coming out related to the corruption probe being conducted by the San Bernardino County District Attorney is raising serious questions this morning.

Sources with knowledge into one of the cases says information turned over to the defense for High Desert developer John DeFazio may clear him of charges.

According to well-placed sources the District Attorney has turned over documents which show developer Michael Gallagher was actually raising funds for DeFazio’s Inland Empire PAC. A copy of a check made out to the committee was addressed to the PAC in care of Gallagher, who told prosecutors he had nothing to do with the committee. Gallagher’s denial of any involvement led to one perjury count against. Continue reading

iePolitics: So Devereaux and BOS Members . . .

You say you want transparency and to clean up corruption in San Bernardino County.  So, when are you going to do something about one of your own—our very own Director of Human Resources, Andrew Lamberto?

Lamberto lied under oath at the Preliminary Hearing for Rex Gutierrez.  Unfortunately, at the time Rex’s attorney did not know about the memo that Lamberto authored regarding the issue of time card fraud and exempt employees.  But he know now!  And from what I’ve heard, he has subpoenaed it. iePolitics: “Attorney General Brown Charges Ramos with Fraud”

Ok Publius, before you jump on my case about taking meds, perhaps you should reconsider the advice you give your boss.  Generally, before charging and arresting individuals, investigators investigate.  It’s not the other way around, i.e., conducting the investigation after the arrests are made.  Not to mention the fact that you have libeled and slandered at least six politicos/businessmen in the community without just cause to promote Mikey’s political career.

So, now the District Attorney and Attorney General want the county to relinquish its attorney/client privilege so it can get around to investigating the Colonies settlement.  Duh!  Why didn’t I think of that? Continue reading

iePolitics: Thank You Again

Just wanted to once again say thank you to all of those that have helped out.  I still can’t call out on my phone (it’s a programming error in the phone that Verizon can’t correct until I back up the phone, which I can’t do) and my computer time is extremely limited.  So for now, please accept this as a thank you and I will make it up in the future.

Paul Schrader: Fiscal Conservative-San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department

I would like to bring a Fresh Start to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department financing and budgeting reviews. I will appoint a volunteer committee to review the audit and devise solutions to maximize the use of funds currently being spent in the Sheriff’s Department, especially to make available the maximum amount of technology and resources to the Deputies working in the field and in the jails.

I will be exploring the possibility of using resources such video cameras in high-crime areas, electronic monitoring systems, shot spotters, and an automatic license plate recognition system to identify stolen vehicles. The feasibility of adding K-9′s and volunteers into the ranks will also be explored.

Go to my website at sheriffpaul.net, join my team and together we can make a fresh start.

Maggie Campbell: Elect Navy Veteran, Maggie Campbell for State Assembly AD36

The problems facing California requires a new energy, a new focus, a new perspective and a new face.  Navy Veteran Maggie Campbell is the right person at the right time to move our State forward.

It’s your voice, it’s your choice

My name is Dennis H. Labadie and I am asking you to elect me Supervisor of San Bernardino County’s 2nd District. The 2nd District includes the communities of Crestline, West Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Upland, Lytle Creek, San Antonio Heights, Mt. Baldy Village and Devore.

As the publisher/editor of a newspaper, I have reported on the politics of this county for nearly a decade. I have intimate knowledge of the inner workings of our county government and how it interacts with local communities and the public. I am widely recognized as uniquely qualified to bring strong leadership to San Bernardino County.

I am an entrepreneur who understands the importance of balancing revenue and expense; who acknowledges the significance of being responsive to the needs of the voters; and who embraces the necessity for innovation in order to effectively meet the ongoing certainty of change. Most importantly, underlying these initiatives, I embrace the pressing need for ethical behavior and fiscal responsibility.

I believe in you, the people of this county, and seek your vote in the June 8 primary. Together, through the power of the ballot, we can:
     • Put an end to hundreds of thousands of tax payer dollars that are continuously wasted in this county on corruption investigations and redirect those dollars to other pressing needs within the county—the corruption must end!
     • Demand that county officials place the highest priority on job development in a way that supports both labor and business.
     • Seek innovation relative to energy production and consumption in ways that will encourage entrepreneurs, improve the environment, meet the needs of the citizens, and provide increased employment opportunities.
     • Authorize the board to work with community leaders to reconcile immigration conflicts within the county.
     • Call for an expanded focus relative to the redevelopment of blighted areas across the county.
     • Require limits on both campaign financing and spending.
     • Insist that the responsibilities and limits of the office of San Bernardino County Supervisor are clearly defined and subject to monitoring by an ethical oversight committee that is appointed by and works in compliance with the District Attorney’s Integrity Unit.

I need your support on June 8, 2010. It is your voice. It is your choice. My name is Dennis H. Labadie. Elect me for 2nd District Supervisor, and together we will work for a better future.

iePolitics: Liar, Liar and Yet One More Liar

First up will be Confidential Informant No. 1, our illustrious “Persona Au Gratin,” singing Canary extraodinaire  Adam Aleman, who if he has the misfortune of making it to the witness stand will be able to impress jurors with his magnificant command of the English language, especially the big words he likes to throw around whether he knows what they mean or not.  The jury will be entertained at least. iePolitics: Candidates

I’ve sent every candidate that I can find an email address for an invitation to have their own account on the blog.  If you didn’t receive an email it either ended up in spam or I was not able to locate an email address for you.  Feel free to contact me at sharon@iepolitics.com and I will set that up for you.

The one exception is that I did not contact Central Committee candidates because there are so many and few people have an interest or even know what they do.  If someone would like to write an article explaining the Central Committees, I’m sure our readers would enjoy it.  And if you are a candidate for one of the Central Committees, you are also welcome to an account.  I know most voters have no clue.  Send me an email and I will set it up.

iePolitics: Attention Candidates and Bloggers

For the candidates:  I have added accounts for everyone I have received a request for so if you did not receive an email with your log-in information and password, please email me.

For everyone:  You may want to consider (especially the candidates) to sign up for a gravatar.  You can do so here:  http://en.gravatar.com/.  It makes your posts look more professional.  For bloggers, you do not have to use a photo, but can use a symbol of your choice so that you are not always represented by a squiggly monster.  The gravatars go with you to every site where you use your email.

For the candidates:  Please monitor your posts for questions and comments.  Nothing will chase away a potential vote quicker than ignoring their question.

Dennis H. Labadie: Second District Candidate

Paul Schrader: K-9 UNITS- San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department

When I am elected, I will bring back the K-9 units (dog units) to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s patrol.

The deputies in the field tell me, they are mad at the command staff.  They have lost faith in them.  When I talk to deputies in patrol they tell me, “we need our K-9 units back” and they get mad when they talk about it. They feel that their safety is compromised when approaching a building or car with armed suspects and unable to use a K-9 unit. They are able to ask other agencies for K-9 help from time to time.  This is unacceptable.

iePolitics: The ARMC Mess — Part 2

I had a different aspect of the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) mess planned for this installment but a new twist occurred before I could get internet access long enough to write it.  I’ve written about falsification of records and patient abuse before but couldn’t name names because I might put others at risk.  However, three of the problem employees apparently are no longer in positions of power.

First and foremost is Paula Martin, the former manager of the  Behavioral Health Unit.  She saw the writing on the wall and has left the employ of San Bernardino County.  I feel sorry for the new facility she will run into the ground. Continue reading

iePolitics: Throw The Bums Out!

For the first time in my memory, San Bernardino County voters have a chance to clean house!  Every single elected official has at least one opponent.  We do not have a single incumbent that deserves re-election.  If voters are so apathic that they vote for incumbents, then I don’t ever want to hear about county corruption again.  We get what we deserve!

I am going to be contacting all of the challengers who do not currently contribute to the blog and ask them to start submitting articles so that we can get to know them.  I hope all of you will interact with them on the blog.

Paul Schrader: Transparency- San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department

Transparency

The questions asked at most of my events and from people all over the county is, what are they hiding, and why is the sheriff and his command staff not open and available to the public.

As part of my fresh start approach to the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, it will be my duty to see that the Department is above reproach in order to restore and retain the respect and trust of the public. My first objective is to make all areas of the Department transparent, especially the jails. There will be an open dialogue maintained with the community and community activists who have questions regarding the Department, including the jails.

In order to bring justice to those wronged and closure to those who have done right, I will have all internal investigations expedited. The community will know the truth, and Deputies will be treated fairly and in accordance with “The Peace Officer’s Bill of Rights”.

This is the right thing to do.  Check out my website at www.sheriffpaul.net and let’s work together for a TRANSPARENT Department.

” Virtue, then, is of two kinds, intellectual and moral. Intellectual virtue springs from and grows from teaching, and therefore needs experience and time. Moral virtues come from habit… They are in us neither by nature, not in despite of nature, but we are furnished by nature with a capacity for receiving them, and we develop them through habit… Whatever we learn to do, we learn by actually doing it… by doing just acts we come to be just and by doing brave acts, we become brave…”

Donations for Sharon

Thanks everyone that has contacted me about donating money to pay the fees to the County to have her dogs released from the shelter. Sharon expressed her sincere gratitude to everyone that has assisted in this plight. Many have requested an address to mail donations, so please send what you can to : ACT P.O. Box 3127, Patton, CA 92369-3127 and write “For Sharon’s Dogs” on the check.

3 of Sharon’s Dogs held at Devore Animal Shelter

Three of Sharon’s dogs were confiscated by county animal control, two weeks ago come Friday, with the fees quickly adding up at a rate of $9/dog/day and a total currently in the $700. range already. I have spoken with the public health chain of command and have been advised that the most expedient resolution to this would be to “just pay the fees”. I have asked the County officials to take Sharon’s overall situation into account in determining whether or not they may be able to make some concessions due to the special circumstances involving actions being taken against Sharon by her employer. I am trying to get some money together from Sharon’s friends so that we might be able to help her get custody of her pets and stop the impound fees that are being added to the bill each day they remain at the shelter. If anyone is able to make a donation to this cause, please e-mail me at steve_rogers@verizon.net as soon as possible. I am looking to try and get this money together before the end of the business day tomorrow.

True Job-Creation Measures Would Lift Burdens

My 2010 legislative package contains a number of measures aimed at lifting the unneeded and burdensome regulations that have made California the most expensive place in the nation for businesses to survive (let alone make a profit).

California’s current unemployment rate stands at 12.5 percent; the rate in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties continues to hover around 14 percent. California’s economics woes are certainly the result of a global economic downturn that has been made much worse by this state’s anti-jobs business climate. Continue reading

Ken Hunter: Ken Hunter Campaign Registers Voters

Ken Hunter, running for the 59th Assembly District, hosted a Campaign Event on Saturday, registering new voters and adding signatures to his nomination papers.  Ken registered several new voters.  The new voters and Ken’s friends were excited to have a common sense conservative running to represent them.  Hunter is basing his campaign on stopping the overspending, overtaxing and over regulating by the professional politicians in Sacramento.  Ken’s supporters want a clean break from the “corruption connection” and career politicians who cater to special interests instead of the citizens.  Continue reading

Paul Schrader: Community Responsibility- San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department

My name is Paul Schrader, and I am running for the position of Sheriff-Coroner of San Bernardino County. My campaign is based on what we call the Fresh Start Initiative. My goal is to bring a Fresh Start to San Bernardino County that the citizens can be proud of, participate in, and see concrete, forward-looking solutions to the problems we face.

Community Responsibility- A Sheriff’s Department that accepts its responsibility to the community, and works with the community to improve
conditions for all.

The other day I was in Chino Hills. I was talking with a guy by the name of John. He said he would like to see the Department executives reaching out to the community, finding out what needs and concerns they have.  He said when he has tried to reach anyone of any rank, he is directed to a patrol deputy.  He is frustrated.

While in Victor Valley I talked to Helen. She had a few of her friends with her. She said she wanted a group to help bring the Department and community together. She said the Department said she could volunteer. She tried to call the Sheriff’s Office and was redirected to a patrol deputy. She does not want to be a volunteer, she would love to be part of a community group that could partner with the Department. She is frustrated.

I hear this throughout the county. Deputies are being utilized to answer questions that should go through Department executives. Our deputies are trying to provide law enforcement services and need tools to do the job even better.

I will have community groups in every area of the county. We will meet and work together, ensuring they are getting service needed in their area. I will be available to citizens. This is being done in Departments all over the State.

iePolitics: Mike Ramos for District Attorney

Below is District Attorney Mike Ramos’ campaign kickoff.  Note the only member of the Board of Supervisors who attended this huge gathering of supporters here in the high desert.  Although now edited out of the video, the supervisor had glowing remarks for our district attorney.

iePolitics: Moonbeam’s Colonies Debacle Tied to Whitman?

iePolitics has learned from a well-placed West-End source that the February 10, 2010, incoherent spectacle produced by San Bernardino County District Attorney Mike Ramos and California Attorney General Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown, charging former Assessor Bill Postmus and former Assistant Assessor Jim Erwin with multiple felonies, including bribery and embezzlement, may have had a much more far-reaching purpose.  And that “purpose” has to do with one unnamed, but very identifiable, John Doe; John Doe No. 1, i.e., Jeff Burum, to be exact.

The underlying scheme of Ramos’ recent interest in “cleaning up corruption in San Bernardino County” is oft-discussed by political insiders.  His crusade came about only after his power base took a major hit due to the defeat of political crony and powerbroker, San Bernardino County Third District Supervisor Dennis Hansberger, by dark horse candidate Neil Derry. From the Sentinel . . .

Investigators Looking Into Arrowhead Regional’s Operations

Allegations of malpractice, licensing shortcomings, operational and managerial miscues and substandard accounting practices at the county hospital are the focus of separate inquiries by federal and state agencies, the Sentinel has learned.

The Sentinel was unable to ascertain whether a rumored survey of the hospital’s operations by auditors working at the behest of the board of supervisors is actually underway.

The issues being looked into include current practices as well as those extending back nearly a decade at the Colton-based facility, which is known as the Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The sharpest focus is that on the administrative action of Dev GnanaDev, who is both the current medical director of Arrowhead Regional as well as its head of surgery. GnanaDev also happens to be the president of the California Medical Association.
Some of the suspected problems at the hospital originated at a level well below that of GnanaDev and involved several instances of medical malpractice and faulty diagnoses. Others have been attributed to GnanaDev directly.

One known case,  the Sentinel is informed, elicited the interest of federal investigators and involved a thirteen year old girl who had suffered a dislocated neck. Physicians and staff failed to adequately recognize or diagnose the condition, resulting in the child becoming permanently paralyzed. The medical staff further stands accused of having lied to the parents about the situation.

Senator Barbara Boxer: Dropouts

March 05, 2010

Dear Friend:

This week General Colin Powell, America’s Promise Alliance Chair Alma Powell, and U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan launched an exciting new campaign to reverse the high school dropout crisis in America. Over the next ten years, the Grad Nation campaign will mobilize individuals, organizations, and businesses to ensure that 90 percent of today’s fourth-graders graduate high school on time.

Today more than one in three American students fails to graduate from high school. Young people who drop out are twice as likely to be unemployed, three times as likely to live in poverty, eight times more likely to wind up in prison, and twice as likely to become the parent of child who in turn drops out. Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack: Tax Relief

Bono Mack Introduces Tax Relief Bill for Those Left without Work

Washington, D.C. – In an effort to help provide tax relief for Americans facing extreme financial pressure in these tough economic times, Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) today introduced legislation (H.R. 4718) to suspend federal income taxes on those Americans who have been forced to collect unemployment compensation due to the loss of jobs and/or inability to find a new job as a result of the current tough economic climate.  Bono Mack issued the following statement:

“This legislation offers tax relief to individuals and families who have been hardest hit by this economic crisis and helps them with additional resources to make ends meet during these tough times,” said Bono Mack.  “Over 10% of Americans are currently unemployed and over 14% of local residents in Riverside County.  This bill will provide help at a time when individuals and families need it the most.

“Relieving the tax burden is an important part of the pro-growth policies that will help get our economy running again and get more Americans back to work.”

Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack: Health Care

Bono Mack:  Partisan Health Care Overhaul is Wrong Approach

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Emphasizing overwhelming opposition to the partisan health care bill to initiate a government-run overhaul of America’s health care system, Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) today sent a letter to the President and Congressional Democrat leadership calling for a meaningful, bipartisan approach that will make health care more affordable and accessible to the American people.

“Congress should be focused on improving our health care system for every day Americans, not on scoring political points and pursuing a massive overhaul of health care that Americans have clearly rejected,” said Bono Mack.  “The Majority has the opportunity to do the right thing and work with all Members of Congress on health care reforms that are in the best interest of the American people, instead of putting the government in charge of medical decisions that should be made by patients and their doctors.

“As the daughter and granddaughter of physicians and Representative for a district that would greatly benefit from real health care reform, I urge the Majority leadership to reconsider this reckless decision to move ahead with such a partisan and fundamentally flawed piece of legislation.  This is not the ‘bipartisan’ approach that was promised.

“It is my hope that the Majority changes direction and reaches beyond partisan politics to craft a more balanced and effective bill that improves our health care system at a price we can afford.”

Dutton Calls on Air Board to Freeze Anti–
Warming Measures Until Jobs Impact
Report is Complete
Air Board has missed its own deadline, refused
to set completion date

SACRAMENTO–Senate Republican Leader–elect Bob Dutton (R–Rancho Cucamonga) has sent a letter to California Air Resources Board (CARB) Chairwoman Mary Nichols calling on her to suspend implementation of AB 32, California’s Global Warming Solutions Act, until a “valid, peer–reviewed economic analysis has been completed.”

Senator Dutton sent the letter to Mary Nichols after learning that CARB has yet to redo its initial flawed economic analysis by a promised Dec. 31, 2009 deadline. Last week CARB staff acknowledged that the new economic analysis has yet to be completed. Further, staff said they didn’t know when it would be done. (View my letter)

“Mary Nichols and CARB continue to drag their feet on what should be priority number one–the potential impact their actions will have on jobs,” Senator Dutton said. “So while CARB barrels forward to implement anti–global warming measures, they do so completely ignorant of the true economic impact their actions will have on Californians’ jobs and our economy.”

A key study from Sacramento State University economists estimates that the cost of AB 32 could be as high as 1.1 million lost jobs and a 10% reduction in the state’s economy.

Senator Dutton introduced legislation last year, SB 295 that would have required CARB to redo its flawed economic analysis. The bill was killed by Democrats in the Senate Environmental Quality Committee after Mary Nichols assured the majority party that SB 295 was unnecessary because the new economic analysis would be completed by Dec. 31, 2009.

“Mary Nichols and CARB should be held to the same standard they expect California businesses to follow,” Senator Dutton said. “We can do that by immediately suspending implementation of AB 32 until the revised economic analysis is complete.”

Issa Plays Hardball

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) last week, outlined his common sense health care solution, H.R. 3438, “the Access to Insurance for All Americans Act,” with Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s “Hardball.”

We Can Help Those Who Cannot Afford Insurance
“I don’t speak for my party; I do speak for the 49th Congressional District. I can tell you that if we had a bill before us that said we would augment, in all 50 states, people who cannot afford insurance through a means testing, we would come up with a scheme to augment them – like we do with SCHIP and some other areas…as long as they really can’t afford it, we’re willing to help and those who can afford it should be told they better buy it and stop going to emergency rooms saying they have no insurance.”
